Nothing has introduced the Phone (4a) and Headphone (a) in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, marking a notable step in its regional growth. Additionally, the launch highlights the brand’s continued focus on design-driven technology. The Phone (4a) targets the mid-range segment, combining premium aesthetics, strong performance, and advanced camera capabilities. Meanwhile, the Headphone (a) adds a playful option to the audio lineup, appealing to users who value both style and functionality.
At the same time, the regional smartphone market continues to expand, creating favorable conditions for new releases. In fact, the Middle East market grew by 13% in 2025, while the UAE recorded similar year-on-year growth. As a result, demand for feature-rich yet accessible devices has increased. Therefore, the Phone (4a) arrives at a moment when consumers actively seek flagship-level features at competitive prices.
The Headphone (a) is already available in the UAE and will launch in Saudi Arabia on 18 March 2026, priced at AED 599 / SAR 699. It comes in pink, yellow, white, and black, while offering up to five days of battery life on a single charge.
“We’ve been incredibly encouraged by the global response to the Phone (4a) and the positive feedback,” said Rishi Kishor Gupta, Regional Director for Middle East and Africa at Nothing. “Following record-breaking Day-1 sales in India we’re very excited to continue that momentum in the Middle East. With Eid approaching, the Phone (4a), especially when paired with the new Headphone (a), makes for a thoughtful gift at an accessible price.”
Performance, Camera, and User Experience
The Phone (4a) introduces a refined transparent design that blends visual identity with durability. For instance, it features enhanced metal buttons, a reinforced frame, and IP64 protection. In addition, the device supports limited submersion, which improves everyday reliability.
On the camera front, the device delivers a versatile system designed for detailed photography. Specifically, it includes a 50MP periscope lens, a 50MP main sensor, a Sony ultra-wide camera, and a 32MP selfie camera. Consequently, users can capture images across a wide zoom range, from 0.6x to 70x. Furthermore, AI-powered features enhance image quality, while tools like AI Photo Eraser improve creative control.
Performance also sees a measurable boost. The device runs on the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 platform, offering faster CPU and graphics performance along with improved power efficiency. Moreover, AI processing capabilities have significantly improved, enabling smoother multitasking and gaming. As a result, users benefit from responsive performance across applications and entertainment.
The Glyph Interface evolves into a more functional notification system. For example, the new Glyph Bar uses mini-LED zones to display alerts, progress indicators, and charging status. At the same time, it reduces the need to constantly check the screen.
Display, Battery, and Sustainability
The Phone (4a) features a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution, ensuring sharp visuals and vibrant colors. Additionally, peak brightness reaches up to 4500 nits, which improves visibility under sunlight. A 120 Hz adaptive refresh rate further ensures smooth interactions, while PWM dimming helps reduce eye strain.
Battery performance remains a strong focus. The device includes a 5080 mAh battery that supports up to 17 hours of mixed usage. Moreover, 50W fast charging allows the phone to reach 60% in just 30 minutes. Over time, battery health remains stable, retaining over 90% capacity after extended use.
On the software side, Nothing OS 4.1, based on Android 16, enhances usability with a cleaner interface and improved customization. For example, users can access floating apps, redesigned widgets, and AI-powered tools. In addition, features like Essential Search and Essential Memory simplify everyday tasks, making the experience more intuitive.
Sustainability also plays a key role in the device’s design. The Phone (4a) achieves a reduced carbon footprint of 51.13 kg CO₂e. Furthermore, it incorporates recycled materials across multiple components and uses largely plastic-free packaging. As a result, the device reflects a broader shift toward environmentally conscious manufacturing.
