Netflix has introduced a major mobile update with a vertical video feed called Clips. Notably, the feature resembles short-form scrolling experiences popular on social platforms. As a result, users can now browse content more quickly and intuitively.
The feature launched on May 1, 2026, and aims to solve a common frustration. Often, users spend more time choosing what to watch than actually watching. Therefore, Clips delivers short previews from films, series, and specials tailored to individual preferences. In turn, users can scroll rapidly and tap on anything that catches their attention.
How Clips Enhances Browsing
Instead of navigating rows of thumbnails, users scroll through a personalized stream of short clips. Moreover, they can take actions directly within the feed. For instance, they can add titles to their list, share clips with friends, or continue browsing without interruption.
Additionally, the platform plans to expand Clips further. In the future, it may include podcasts, live programming, and curated genre collections. Currently, Clips is available in several regions, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, India, Malaysia, Pakistan, the Philippines, and South Africa. Meanwhile, a global rollout is expected in the coming months.
