Spring to Life Update Arrives March 25
The first game drop of the year, Spring to Life, will launch across all platforms on March 25, 2025. This update introduces:

Enhanced exploration opportunities to make the Overworld more immersive

Minecraft Movie In-Game Event & Free Skin Pack
With the Minecraft Movie set to hit theaters on April 4, 2025, Mojang has announced an in-game live event from March 25 to April 7.

Vibrant Visuals – New Graphical Enhancements
Minecraft is set to receive a significant graphical upgrade through Vibrant Visuals. This new visual enhancement promises improved lighting, textures, and environmental effects. Dried Ghast and Locator Bar – New Features
Two new additions are coming in Minecraft’s second game drop of 2025.
The dried ghast is a new Nether block that, when re-hydrated, transforms into a ghastling and eventually into a happy ghast. Players will be able to fly on it using a crafted harness.
Another feature being introduced is the locator bar, a new UI element that helps players track their friends’ locations on the map.
