Microsoft has recently announced the introduction of cutting-edge AI-powered classroom tools aimed at enhancing students’ speaking and mathematics skills and making the lives of teachers easier. These tools will streamline the process of creating, reviewing, and analyzing speaking and presentation assignments for students, groups, and classrooms, saving teachers valuable time and effort.
One of the new AI tools, called Speaker Progress, is designed specifically for teachers and provides a comprehensive summary of students’ presentation-based skills, highlighting areas that need improvement. The tool also allows teachers to review student recordings, identify their needs, and track progress. Speaker Progress will be a companion tool for Speaker Coach, a previously launched feature by Microsoft that provides personalized speaking guidance and feedback.
In response to the decline in mathematics scores caused by the pandemic, Microsoft has introduced Math Coach and Math Progress. Math Coach guides students through the steps of solving mathematical problems, encouraging critical thinking, while Math Progress assists teachers in creating practice questions and providing more efficient feedback.
The new tools are set to launch in Teams for Education during the 2023-24 academic year, providing a more technologically advanced learning experience for students and teachers alike.
