Lexus has unveiled the Surf LX concept at the 2025 Lexus Pipe Pro in Oahu, Hawaii, reinforcing its commitment to surf culture and adventure. The announcement was accompanied by an expanded multi-year partnership with the World Surf League (WSL).
Under the new agreement, Lexus will be the title sponsor for five major WSL events in 2025, including the WSL Awards, Pipe Pro, Trestle Pro, US Open of Surfing, and WSL Finals. The collaboration will also extend to Fiji, where Lexus will support the WSL Finals at Cloudbreak.
Lisa McQueen, Media Manager of Lexus Marketing, stated, “Lexus and the WSL share a passion for innovation, excellence, and performance. This partnership will elevate the fan experience and create unforgettable moments for the surf community.”
The Lexus Surf LX, a luxury SUV inspired by surf culture, was the centerpiece of the announcement. Designed in collaboration with professional surfer Griffin Colapinto, it combines coastal aesthetics with rugged capability.
Key design elements include a matte blue exterior, a contrasting white roofline, and black accents, resembling the movement of ocean waves. The interior features durable leather upholstery, custom 20-inch gray wheels, and 33-inch all-terrain tires, ensuring resilience against sand, saltwater, and coastal terrain.
Engineered for adventure, the Surf LX is equipped with a trunk featuring slide-out storage, a surfboard rack, a built-in cooler, a waxing table, and a turf-changing mat. Additional features include a custom exo-cage and an LED-illuminated rear ladder for easy roof access.
At present, Lexus has not announced plans for a commercial release of the Surf LX.
