Lenovo has launched a new lineup of Intel Wildcat Lake-powered laptops in China, expanding its affordable ultraportable portfolio with models aimed at competing against Apple’s MacBook Neo. The new range includes the Lecoo Air 14, Xiaoxin Air 13, and Xiaoxin Air 15, all designed to combine lightweight construction, long battery life, and AI-ready performance at competitive prices. Consequently, Lenovo is targeting students, professionals, and everyday users looking for premium features without flagship pricing.
The laptops are powered by Intel’s new Core Series 3 “Wildcat Lake” processors, which focus on improving efficiency, AI acceleration, and battery life. Moreover, Lenovo has positioned the devices as thin-and-light Windows alternatives capable of competing with Apple’s entry-level notebook in both portability and value. Prices in China begin at approximately CNY 4,088 (around $600), depending on the model.
Thin Design Meets AI Performance
The Lecoo Air 14 features a 14-inch display, weighs just 990 grams, and measures only 12.95 mm thick. Therefore, it ranks among Lenovo’s lightest mainstream laptops. The device includes 12 GB of RAM, a 512 GB SSD, Wi-Fi 6 connectivity, and a fan-assisted cooling system that balances performance with quiet operation.
Meanwhile, the Xiaoxin Air 13 targets users who prefer a more premium display. It offers a 120 Hz panel and uses the Intel Core 5 320 processor, delivering stronger graphics and improved multitasking performance. Early benchmark results suggest the processor performs competitively against Apple’s A18 Pro in several everyday computing workloads.
Lenovo also introduced the Xiaoxin Air 15 for users seeking a larger screen and extended battery life. In addition, the laptop features a 54.7 Wh battery rated for up to 23.8 hours of local video playback, making it suitable for mobile professionals and students.
Intel’s Wildcat Lake Strategy Expands
The new laptops form part of Intel’s broader Wildcat Lake initiative, which aims to bring AI-enabled Windows laptops into the sub-$700 market. Consequently, manufacturers can deliver premium designs without relying on high-end processors that increase costs.
Wildcat Lake chips integrate CPU, GPU, and NPU capabilities to accelerate AI workloads while maintaining low power consumption. Furthermore, the platform supports Microsoft’s growing AI PC ecosystem, enabling features such as on-device AI processing, enhanced video conferencing, and intelligent productivity tools.
Lenovo has focused on delivering slim metal chassis, fast storage, modern connectivity, and competitive battery life while maintaining affordable pricing. As a result, the company hopes to capture consumers considering Apple’s MacBook Neo but seeking greater Windows compatibility and hardware flexibility.

Although the Wildcat Lake laptops are currently available only in China, industry analysts expect similar models to reach additional markets in the coming months.
