LEGO Unveils Nostalgic Collaboration with Nintendo Game Boy
LEGO has announced its latest nostalgic venture with the reveal of a new collaboration featuring the Nintendo Game Boy. This iconic partnership follows the recent news of a LEGO PlayStation 2 set reportedly entering production.
The LEGO Nintendo Game Boy set pays homage to the original version of the handheld gaming console that defined a generation. A teaser clip shared on X (formerly Twitter) showcases classic details like the purple buttons and directional pad recreated in LEGO bricks. Nintendo of America captioned the teaser, “Build the classic Nintendo system in LEGO® form. Coming October 2025.”
This collaboration adds to LEGO’s portfolio of video game-inspired replicas, including sets based on the ATARI and NES consoles. Previous collaborations between LEGO and Nintendo have also brought fans Super Mario and Mario Kart-themed sets, ranging from the LEGO Piranha Plant to a detailed Mario and Yoshi model from Super Mario World. LEGO even released a giant Bowser figure and a Nintendo Entertainment System set last year, solidifying their creative partnership.
Scheduled for release in October 2025, the LEGO Nintendo Game Boy set continues LEGO’s trend of blending classic gaming nostalgia with its iconic brick-building experience.
