iPhone Users Can Now Edit Photos with AI in Google Photos

iPhone using Google Photos AI editor

iPhone users can now edit photos by describing the changes they want directly in the Photos app. The “Help me edit” feature, already popular on Android, now works on iOS. Users can type or speak commands, and the app instantly adjusts images based on those descriptions. Moreover, a redesigned editing interface has arrived, offering intuitive gestures and one-tap editing options for faster adjustments.

Smarter and More Personalized Edits

The update improves how faces are edited. It references personal face groups from your photo library, ensuring that edits like opening eyes, removing glasses, or adding smiles stay realistic. These improvements make portraits look natural while keeping individual facial details consistent. In addition, the integrated Nano Banana AI model allows users to transform images into creative art styles such as paintings, mosaics, or illustrations.

New Tools for Creative Control

Beyond these major additions, a new “Ask” button introduces a chatbot-style interface for editing. It helps users make quick adjustments and even answers questions about photo content. Ready-made AI templates also simplify the editing process, letting users apply popular prompts like “put me in a high fashion photoshoot” with one tap. Finally, the “Ask Photos” search tool is expanding to more than 100 regions and 17 languages, making it easier for users everywhere to find and transform their favorite memories.
