The Technology Express Innovation Hackathon 2025: Responsible Innovation Track Winners Announced

Responsible Innovation

The UAE’s remarkable digital transformation journey is powered by ambitious young innovators whose vision is redefining how technology shapes society, not just through capability, but through accountability, ethics, and inclusivity. As the country advances toward becoming a global leader in responsible AI, ethical tech deployment, and human-centered innovation, students across the Emirates are stepping forward with solutions that balance progress with principle.

Celebrating this momentum, The Technology Express Innovation Hackathon 2025, sponsored by iFund Factoring, was held in partnership with the UAE Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy & Remote Work Applications Office, hosted by Zayed University, and supported by key institutional partners including Dubai AI Campus, DMCC AI Centre, Dubai Police Academy, NextGen Center, Karma Developers and the College of Technological Innovation. This landmark event convened 500 students from 25 universities, driven by 30+ hours of concentrated innovation, mentorship, and real-world challenge-solving across 10 distinct tracks.

The Responsible Innovation track focused on the development of technology that prioritizes ethical considerations, social impact, transparency, and long-term sustainability. Participants were challenged to design solutions that not only solve problems but do so in ways that protect privacy, promote fairness, and enhance human dignity. Out of a highly competitive pool, the team ZERO NEXUS from Indian Institute of Delhi, Abu Dhabi, was selected as the winning entry by a jury of 15 experts, following rigorous evaluation and deliberation over all submitted solutions. Their project best met the Responsible Innovation brief, showcasing creativity and a deep commitment to tech for good.
