Inception Reveals AI Innovations Enhancing Digital Sovereignty

Irina Shabalina, Senior Product Director at Inception

As artificial intelligence transitions from experimental technology to operational infrastructure, delivering measurable impact across diverse markets has become critical. At GITEX Global 2025, Technology Express spoke with Irina Shabalina, Senior Product Director at Inception, a G42 company, about how the AI product leader operationalizes intelligence through domain-specific solutions that are seamlessly integrated into existing systems.

Under the theme “Authentic Intelligence. Real Impact,” Inception presented AI products for executive intelligence, financial analysis, procurement optimization, workforce management, and multilingual large language models for the Global South. Models like JAIS for Arabic, NANDA for Hindi, and SHERKALA for Kazakh illustrate the company’s commitment to advancing digital sovereignty while ensuring AI supports societal and economic priorities in emerging markets.

Focus on Accessible and Impactful AI

Inception’s participation at GITEX highlights its growing impact as an AI product leader. According to Shabalina, “Under the theme ‘Authentic Intelligence. Real Impact,’ we showcased our suite of domain-specific and sector-agnostic AI products that are transforming how organizations operate and make decisions.” These include (In)Sight, (In)Alpha, (In)Procurement, (In)Business Human Capital, (In)Business Productivity, (In)Business Process, (In)Business Customer Experience, and (In)Media. Some were demonstrated live at the event.

Shabalina added, “Our goal was to showcase how we are simplifying AI adoption by delivering products that integrate directly into existing systems and deliver immediate, measurable outcomes.” For instance, (In)Sight enables executives to make faster, data-driven decisions, while (In)Alpha helps financial institutions uncover investment opportunities. Similarly, (In)Business Process transforms public services by optimizing workflows. By embedding AI into G42’s Intelligence Grid, Inception aligns with national priorities, advancing digital sovereignty and creating lasting impact across public and private sectors.

Empowering Emerging Markets Through Language and Inclusion

Inception emphasizes inclusive AI for underserved regions. Shabalina explained, “Language is often the first barrier to AI adoption, and by removing it, we are enabling people to participate meaningfully in the digital economy.” To address this, Inception developed multilingual, culturally aware large language models such as JAIS, the world’s most advanced Arabic LLM, NANDA for Hindi, and SHERKALA, an 8-billion-parameter Kazakh model trained on over 45 billion words.

“By delivering AI that understands regional languages, values, and needs, we are helping to bridge digital inequities while preserving linguistic identity,” Shabalina noted. This approach ensures nations and communities can develop sovereign AI ecosystems tailored to priorities ranging from public services and education to healthcare and agriculture. Through authentic intelligence, Inception is fostering a more inclusive AI future where every language, market, and community has a voice.

Scaling AI Responsibly for Sustainable Impact

Deploying AI at scale presents both technical and ethical challenges. Shabalina highlighted, “The greatest friction often lies in data access and coordination. Most enterprises are still working with fragmented systems optimized for batch reporting, not real-time intelligence.” Inception addresses this through coordination systems that manage agent behavior and ensure they work together toward organizational objectives.

For example, (In)Procurement identifies high-performing, sustainable suppliers while accelerating sourcing cycles and ensuring compliance. Similarly, (In)Business Productivity and (In)Business Process empower teams to deploy no-code AI agents that coordinate workflows and make intelligent decisions faster and more accurately than human-led systems.

Shabalina further explained, “Our products are designed to escalate when ambiguity is high, confidence scores are low, or when ethical, legal, or reputational thresholds are at stake.” This allows enterprises to define custom guardrails that ensure decisions remain compliant and ethical. By combining deep technical engineering with societal awareness, Inception aligns with the UAE’s vision of a knowledge-driven, AI-native economy. Its products convert data into actionable knowledge, redefine resource management, and advance digital inclusion, ultimately enabling human potential and sustainable growth.
