Hugging Face Launches Reachy Mini App Store

Reachy Mini desktop AI robots

Hugging Face has officially launched an open-source app store for its Reachy Mini desktop robot, expanding access to community-built robotics applications. As a result, users can now download and install more than 200 robot apps through a simplified one-click process integrated into the company’s Spaces platform.

Open-Source Robotics Platform Expands

The new app store allows users to deploy robot behaviors without advanced coding or robotics knowledge. Consequently, users can create applications using plain English prompts while AI agents manage code generation and testing processes. In addition, the system simplifies robot customization for developers and non-technical users alike.

The launch marks a major step for Reachy Mini, which debuted in 2025 as an affordable open-source desktop robot for AI experimentation and human-robot interaction. Since then, the platform has expanded significantly, with unit shipments increasing as global consumer interest in desktop robotics continues to grow.

Reachy Mini Gains Broader Adoption

Reachy Mini includes a six-degree-of-freedom head, microphones, a speaker, and a wide-angle camera within a compact desktop form factor. Therefore, the robot supports conversational AI, motion tracking, and interactive automation tasks. At the same time, the device gained wider visibility following demonstrations at major technology events and expanded international retail availability earlier this year.

The app ecosystem already includes conversational AI systems powered by large language models and motion-tracking applications that respond to user movements in real time. Consequently, developers continue building new capabilities across entertainment, education, and productivity use cases.

Growing Robotics Community on Hugging Face

The app store also reflects the rapid growth of robotics activity across Hugging Face’s broader AI ecosystem. As a result, robotics datasets and community-built projects have expanded sharply over the past year. In addition, the company has continued integrating robotics development with its large-scale open-source AI platform.

Previously, community-created robot applications existed as separate experimental Spaces projects. However, the new app store organizes these tools into a curated platform designed for easier discovery and installation. Therefore, Hugging Face is positioning Reachy Mini as a more accessible consumer robotics platform supported by an expanding open-source developer community.
