Huawei Cloud and Tuwaiq Boost Saudi Talent

Huawei Cloud and Tuwaiq Academy executive training

Huawei Cloud, in partnership with Tuwaiq Academy, completed a five-day executive training program designed to equip leaders with essential cloud knowledge. The initiative highlighted both organizations’ shared commitment to accelerating Saudi Arabia’s digital talent development. The program, held from August 24 to 28, introduced senior decision-makers to the fundamentals of cloud computing and its strategic impact on innovation and growth.

The training explored key areas, including compute, storage, networking, security, and database services. Additionally, it addressed cloud-native transformation and included practical workshops and case studies. These elements ensured that executives gained both theoretical insights and applied skills for informed decision-making.

Building on Strategic Partnerships

This executive program builds on a memorandum of understanding signed in February 2025 between Huawei and Tuwaiq Academy. That agreement aimed to strengthen local expertise in cloud computing, AI, and big data. Moreover, it aligns with Huawei’s broader initiatives in Saudi Arabia, including the Huawei Skills Development Center, which plans to train 25,000 local talents by 2030.

Further reinforcing this commitment, Huawei collaborates with UNESCO’s Institute for Information Technologies in Education (IITE) on the T.H.E. GOLD Talent program. This initiative is designed to boost digital intelligence capabilities across the Middle East and Central Asia. Together, these efforts demonstrate a consistent strategy to cultivate knowledge and technical leadership.

Supporting Saudi Arabia’s Digital Vision

Saudi Arabia has placed talent development at the core of its digital transformation journey. Therefore, the collaboration between Huawei Cloud and Tuwaiq Academy directly supports this vision by equipping leaders with the skills necessary to effectively harness cloud technologies. Long-term innovation and growth depend on more than adopting technology; they require building sustainable expertise and capabilities.
