Huawei has partnered with Kuwait Network Electronic Technology Company (Knetco) to introduce 5G Advanced technology in Kuwait. The initiative supports Kuwait Vision 2035 and strengthens the nation’s ambition of building a fully connected, intelligent society. 5G Advanced, also known as 5.5G, delivers speeds up to ten times faster than standard 5G. Additionally, it enables ultra-low latency and massive connectivity, powering future-ready applications across smart cities, AI-driven industries, and next-generation digital services.
Knetco’s Role in Nationwide Implementation
Knetco, an official contractor of the Ministry of Communications, was appointed as the main implementor for this rollout. The company rapidly mobilized technical expertise and managed the deployment process from infrastructure preparation to full integration. Consequently, 5G Advanced capabilities were successfully deployed for all three mobile operators in Kuwait. Knetco’s extensive track record in mission-critical telecom projects ensured delivery within strict timelines while maintaining high performance, reliability, and security standards.
