HIMA, a world leader in providing safety-related automation solutions, has recently opened its new headquarters in Jebel Ali, Dubai, in a move to enhance its presence in the Middle East region. The company has been serving an installed base across 82 countries and building partnerships to bring them closer to their customers in the region for over 20 years. During the opening event, HIMA’s Managing Partner Steffen Philipp, CEO Jörg de la Motte, CFO Michael Löbig, and HIMA Middle East Vice President Andrew Dennant welcomed customers, guests, and local authorities.
The company continues to invest in the Middle East as the business focus in the region transitions from serving traditional hydrocarbon processing industries to serving customers who are increasingly delivering energy from renewable sources. HIMA is committed to supporting customers and partners in this region by expanding its market presence. “Our approach is to help customers within the region digitalize functional safety with added value. The investment in the new office is to enable further growth within the region in line with the long-term development of HIMA,” said Jörg de la Motte, CEO at HIMA.
The new office houses a centre of excellence for Project Engineering, Lifecycle Services, and Product Support that is available 24/7 with a strong focus on sustainability. The facility’s installation includes water-saving washroom facilities that reduce the building’s overall water consumption by up to 80%, and an air dispersal feature saves up to 30% of the annual electricity consumption, resulting in a potential 76% carbon footprint reduction in these two focus areas.
The new HIMA Inspiring Work concept aims to facilitate hybrid working and collaboration with customers, regardless of the nature of the expertise required. As customers across the Middle East, Africa, and the CIS countries move towards digitalization in functional safety in the Process and Rail industries, HIMA has co-located a wider range of expertise in the region.
