Grammarly rolled out a new document-based interface built on the Coda platform. Moreover, the interface includes an AI assistant plus tools for students and professionals. The new layout adopts a block-first approach that supports tables, columns, separators, lists, and headers.
AI assistant and writing tools
Furthermore, a sidebar hosts the AI assistant, which can summarize text and answer questions. Additionally, tools include Reader Reactions, Grader, Citation Finder, and Paraphraser for tone adjustments. Reader Reactions delivers persona-based feedback, while Grader evaluates work against instructor guidelines and public course material. Citation Finder helps locate and generate citations from publicly available sources.
Detection, direction, and growth
Grammarly added agents for plagiarism and AI-generated content detection. However, these agents can sometimes produce mixed accuracy, so results should be reviewed carefully. The product suite aims to help students use AI responsibly, and also to provide tools for educators. In addition, the company continues to expand AI capabilities through acquisitions and investment. Recently it acquired an email client and raised significant funding to boost growth.
