Google to Unveil Pixel 10 Series on August 13

Google is preparing to unveil its next flagship smartphones at a Made by Google event scheduled for August 13, 2025. According to multiple leaks, including one from @MysteryLupin and later corroborated by Android Headlines, the Pixel 10 phones will go on sale just a week later, on August 20. This timeline closely mirrors last year’s launch, although the Pixel 9 series had staggered availability, especially for the Fold model.

This time around, Google is expected to release four Pixel 10 devices: the standard Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and the Pixel 10 Pro Fold. Alongside the phones, the company is also likely to announce the Pixel Watch 4. While the design of the phones may not shift dramatically from the Pixel 9 series, some notable hardware and software changes are anticipated.

Refined Hardware and Smarter Software Power the Pixel 10 Lineup

Though design tweaks appear minimal, the Pixel 10 lineup introduces key performance upgrades. Notably, the standard Pixel 10 may now include a telephoto lens, bringing it in line with the Pro variants. However, this comes with some compromises in camera quality. On the other hand, the Pro and Fold models are said to retain nearly identical designs and camera hardware to last year’s devices.

The main performance leap comes from the upgraded Tensor G5 chipset, which is expected to enable advanced AI features across the board. These AI improvements could serve as the primary incentive for Pixel fans to upgrade. Moreover, the new devices will showcase Google’s refreshed Material 3 Expressive design language, aiming to offer a more vibrant and dynamic user interface.

Pixel Watch 4 Brings Subtle Hardware Shifts and AI Enhancements

The Pixel Watch 4 is also poised to make an appearance at the event. Leaked renders show a thicker design, which could point to a larger battery and potentially longer usage time. Reports also suggest updated charging technology and the inclusion of two new, yet unspecified, physical buttons. Perhaps most notably, this watch is expected to debut Google’s Gemini AI assistant on a wearable device, adding another layer of intelligence and personalization.

Although last year’s Pixel launch followed a similar schedule, some models faced delays in hitting shelves. With more unified availability this year and smarter features across devices, Google appears to be streamlining its flagship product experience in 2025.
