Google Gemini Adds Notebooks Feature for AI Workflows
Google has introduced a new “notebooks” feature in its Gemini AI app, creating structured project hubs for organizing chats, files, and instructions. Through this update, users can manage ongoing work within a persistent workspace that connects directly with NotebookLM.
At the same time, the feature strengthens integration between Gemini and NotebookLM. As a result, both tools now operate within a unified environment rather than as separate systems.
Unified workspace across Gemini and NotebookLM
Previously, Gemini allowed users to attach NotebookLM notebooks as reference sources. However, the new notebooks feature establishes a two-way workspace that synchronizes content across both platforms. Consequently, any material added in one tool becomes instantly available in the other.
Moreover, this integration builds on earlier updates introduced in late 2025 and early 2026. Therefore, Google continues to align its AI tools into a more cohesive ecosystem. In addition, the new structure embeds full project environments directly within Gemini instead of relying on external links.
