Fuze has appointed Serena Sebastiani as Group Chief Strategy and Venture Officer, strengthening its leadership as it scales regional financial infrastructure operations. The appointment supports Fuze’s focus on long-term growth across digital assets, payments, and API-driven financial services in the Middle East and Turkey.
Strategic Appointment to Drive Growth
Previously, Serena Sebastiani led Virtual Assets Consulting at PwC Middle East. Additionally, she serves as Co-Chair of the MENA Fintech Association’s Digital Assets Committee and President of GCC at the Association for Women in Cryptocurrency. As a result, she brings deep expertise across strategy, regulation, and emerging financial technologies. Moreover, her background aligns closely with Fuze’s expansion goals across regulated markets.
Experience Across Global Financial Systems
Over the past 15 years, Sebastiani has advised financial institutions, governments, and regulators across Europe and the Middle East. During this period, she contributed to the development of Europe’s securities market infrastructure. Furthermore, she helped shape early regulatory frameworks for fintech and digital assets, including work related to the creation of the first Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority. Consequently, her experience spans policy design, market entry strategies, and the launch of digital asset and fintech propositions.
Focus on Infrastructure and Long-Term Vision
In her new role, Sebastiani will lead strategic growth and sustainable scaling across Fuze’s core infrastructure. Specifically, her remit includes the institutional over-the-counter desk, the digital assets-as-a-service platform, and payments capabilities. At the same time, she will guide the company’s long-term vision and product roadmap. Ultimately, this appointment supports Fuze’s aim to deliver API-integrated financial services for banks, institutions, and enterprises at scale.
