Etisalat, named as the world’s strongest telecommunications brand, becomes the first from the Middle East and Africa region to achieve such recognition among 500 global brands from Brand Finance, a renowned brand valuation authority.
Strongest brand
With a telecom portfolio of well over USD 12.5 billion, Etisalat not only retained its AAA brand rating but was also named the strongest brand across all categories in the MEA and the most valuable brand portfolio.

Strong leadership
Brand Finance also named Dowidar to the global Elite List of Brand Guardians. The listing recognizes the ground-breaking initiatives launched since Dowidar joined Etisalat in September 2015, which have played a role in propelling Etisalat’s business growth. Assuming the role of Group CEO in 2020, Dowidar oversaw the company’s growth through the fast-changing telecom and technology landscape during the COVID-19 pandemic.
