
Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation (Empower) is once again urging customers to set their air conditioners to 24°C during the summer. Now in its 12th year, the annual “Set and Save at 24°C” campaign aims to encourage energy efficiency and responsible usage. It continues until the end of summer and targets more than 144,000 customers across Dubai.
By adjusting thermostats to 24°C and setting units to auto mode, residents can significantly reduce strain on the power grid. Moreover, this small change supports environmental protection efforts and helps lower carbon emissions. It also plays a vital role in achieving broader sustainability targets across the UAE.
Simple Steps With Long-Term Impact
Empower emphasizes that this one-degree change can lead to major benefits. It not only improves energy conservation but also boosts overall grid reliability. During peak summer months, efficient AC usage helps manage demand and supports climate goals. As a result, both residential and commercial customers can make meaningful contributions to the environment.
