
The fifth edition of the Dubai Police Esports Tournament will be held from August 14 to 17 at the Dubai Police Officers Club in Al Jaddaf. More than 1,500 players from various nationalities, including international competitors, are expected to take part. The total prize pool will reach AED 200,000 ($54,458).
Promoting Digital Safety and Community Awareness
The tournament’s launch was announced at a press conference at the Cycling Hub in the Dubai Police Officers Club. The event was attended by senior officials, professional esports players, and gaming enthusiasts.
This year’s tournament is designed to improve community awareness in the digital space while promoting safe gaming practices. Participants will be educated on balanced gaming habits, online safety, and the risks of cybercrimes related to gaming.
The competition will also encourage the use of Dubai Police’s digital services, including the Ecrime reporting platform and the online awareness portal. Attendees will receive guidance on protecting privacy, engaging in safe online interactions, and ensuring secure electronic financial transactions.
Open Registration for Young Gamers
The Dubai Police Esports Tournament is open to male and female participants aged 10 to 35. Registration remains active, giving aspiring gamers the chance to compete on a professional stage. The event will combine competitive gameplay with educational initiatives, reinforcing its role as both an entertainment platform and a community safety program.
