Dubai Launches Digital Licensing for Airport Security Screeners

DCAA and Dubai Police launch

The Dubai Civil Aviation Authority (DCAA), in partnership with the Dubai Police General Command, has introduced the Digital Security Screener Licensing System for airport security personnel. This initiative reflects a shared commitment to enhancing aviation safety while aligning with national and international standards.

The new system also supports the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, aiming to increase international confidence in Dubai’s aviation safety ecosystem. Consequently, it reinforces the emirate’s status as a leading global aviation hub.

Leadership Perspectives

HE Mohammed Abdulla Lengawi, Director General of the DCAA, emphasized Dubai’s dedication to security compliance and the integration of advanced systems. He stated, “This achievement is a result of institutional cooperation with Dubai Police, supporting aviation security sustainability, reinforcing international confidence in Dubai’s aviation sector, and keeping pace with the Government of Dubai’s vision for the future.”

Meanwhile, HE Major General Harib Al Shamsi highlighted the significance of innovation in maintaining Dubai’s aviation leadership. He explained that smart analysis tools, specialized training, and global best practices are key to building a resilient and operationally ready security framework.

The launch event also showcased pioneering security and technological systems currently serving Dubai’s aviation sector.
