The Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy recently revealed that it provided support to 127 digital startups during the first quarter of 2025. This marks a remarkable 135% increase compared to the same period last year, showcasing the chamber’s growing commitment to reinforcing Dubai’s position as a leading global hub for tech startups.

Empowering Digital Growth and Talent

The chamber’s efforts included the organization of four events designed to foster business development, empower startups, and enhance the ease of doing business in Dubai. These events were part of a larger strategy to build partnerships and nurture talent in the tech sector. Additionally, the chamber conducted digital upskilling programs for 729 participants, aimed at equipping talent with the necessary skills in advanced technologies to meet the growing demands of the digital economy.

The “Business in Dubai” platform continued to support businesses looking to establish or expand in the emirate. It provided access to a suite of institutional services and business matchmaking opportunities to help companies find suitable partners, investors, and clients. During Q1 2025, the chamber expanded its network by adding 20 new partners, bringing the total to 114 service providers across various sectors.

Expanding Dubai’s Digital Ecosystem Globally

Omar Sultan Al Olama, the Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications, emphasized that the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy is focused on accelerating the digital transformation of the city. He stated that this initiative aligns with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, aiming to position Dubai as a global leader in digital innovation, investment, and entrepreneurship. By enhancing both the infrastructure and legislative environment, the chamber aims to foster a dynamic digital ecosystem for businesses to grow and expand globally.

These roadshows, held in the U.S., Canada, and Australia, engaged over 1,000 participants from the startup, investment, and tech sectors. They highlighted Dubai’s robust digital business ecosystem and promoted the upcoming Expand North Star event, which will take place from October 12–15, 2025, at Dubai Harbour.

These efforts illustrate Dubai’s ongoing commitment to cultivating a thriving digital economy, positioning the city as an attractive destination for startups, investors, and tech innovators worldwide.
