Crypto Hits the Streets: Bybit Teams Up with Careem in MENA

Bybit, the world’s second-largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume, is strengthening its presence in the MENA region through a series of lifestyle-focused collaborations. The Dubai-based platform is working to bridge the gap between traditional services and Web3 by embedding crypto experiences into users’ everyday lives. As part of this broader campaign, launched in June, Bybit branding is now visible within Careem, a widely used super app in the region.

This initiative marks an important step in integrating digital assets into real-world environments. Through this collaboration, users are encouraged to explore offers accessible via Bybit’s app and website. Bybit’s aim is to show how cryptocurrencies can be part of daily routines, not just investment tools. Consequently, the company is focusing on sectors like dining, entertainment, gaming, transportation, and sports, where users already spend their time and money.

Making Crypto Practical and Accessible

In addition to Careem, Bybit is forming partnerships with regional businesses that allow customers to use crypto-linked benefits. For example, Bybit cardholders in Dubai can access discounts of up to 30 percent at the Grand Millennium Dubai. They can also enjoy added perks such as airport lounge access and digital service subscriptions. This approach demonstrates how crypto can offer real-world value beyond speculative trading.

Furthermore, Bybit is continuing its collaboration with the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre, which helps promote blockchain education and innovation. These ongoing partnerships signal a deliberate shift toward real-world crypto adoption by integrating value-driven features into users’ preferred services. Claudia Wang, Head of Marketing at Bybit, explained the thinking behind the campaign: “The campaign is rooted in aligning with user behaviour rather than focusing solely on conventional or Web3 marketing tactics. The goal is to ensure the brand remains present and relevant across diverse consumer settings.”

Building Toward Broader Adoption

While the current campaign is focused on the MENA region, Bybit has plans to expand this partnership model to other markets. With over 70 million users globally, the exchange intends to offer a full suite of crypto services, including trading, payments, custody, wealth management, and exclusive rewards. This strategy is part of a long-term vision to encourage digital finance adoption by creating meaningful use cases.

By aligning crypto experiences with regional habits and services, Bybit hopes to normalize digital assets in daily life. As the campaign continues through the summer and beyond, the company is positioning itself at the forefront of practical crypto integration in the region.
