Chess Robot Breaks 7-year-old boy’s finger during Moscow Open

According to Russian news agencies, a robot fractured a seven-year-old boy’s finger during a chess tournament in Moscow last week. According to Sergey Lazarev, president of the Moscow Chess Federation, “the robot shattered the child’s finger.” “Of course, this is horrible.”

A video shared on social media shows the robot taking one of the boy’s pieces. The boy then makes his own move, and the robot grabs his finger.

Four adults rush to help the boy, who is eventually freed and ushered away.
