botim, Astra Tech’s flagship app in the MENA region, has launched a refreshed brand identity and upgraded user interface. Originally developed as a VoIP platform, botim has rapidly evolved into a fintech-first, AI-native application. Between January and May 2025, botim reported a 50% rise in monthly active wallet users. This growth highlights rising demand for integrated financial features, such as peer-to-peer transfers and lending, especially in a mobile-first environment. As the UAE’s population surpasses 11.22 million, botim is positioning itself as a comprehensive solution for both communication and financial needs. Consequently, the platform is scaling globally to meet this demand.

Services like payments, transfers, lending, and calling are now easier to access due to a more intuitive layout. Navigation has also been restructured, offering clearly segmented sections that align with real user behavior.

Moreover, the app adapts to various user profiles from newcomers to high-tier users by simplifying financial tasks within chat windows. For instance, financial tools can be accessed in one click directly from conversations. In addition, users benefit from improvements in call quality, smart filters, and an enhanced in-app chatbot. These AI-powered features, including real-time translation, are tailored for the app’s multilingual audience.
