Australia’s InSky Robotics Opens GCC Facility in Ras Al Khaimah

InSky Robotics, a prominent Australian technology firm, is setting up its first facility in the GCC region with the launch of VIM Solar Robotics in Al Hamra, Ras Al Khaimah. This strategic move aims to address the rapidly growing demand for robotic solutions within the solar energy sector across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region.

The new facility will serve as a hub for the assembly, storage, and distribution of VIM Solar Robotics’ advanced VOLTIMATE robotic cleaners. These state-of-the-art robots are leading the industry in automated cleaning technology for solar farms. Unlike traditional robots, the VOLTIMATE units operate without batteries or complex electronics, which makes them highly resilient to harsh environmental conditions. Their robust design ensures a lifespan of over 20 years, aligning with the longevity of standard solar panels.

By utilizing standardized components, InSky Robotics aims to streamline servicing and significantly cut down on maintenance and operational costs.

This approach not only enhances efficiency but also reduces the overall cost of ownership for solar farm operators.

Aleksei Ermishin, CEO of VIM Solar Robotics, highlighted the pivotal role played by Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ) in facilitating the company’s expansion into the UAE. Ermishin stated, “Recognising the urgent demand for efficient and low-maintenance robotic cleaning solutions for solar farms in the GCC market, the company will introduce VOLTIMATE, an innovative technology tailored specifically for the unique needs of the UAE.”

Ramy Jallad, CEO of RAKEZ Group, emphasized the significant strategic advantages that Ras Al Khaimah offers to cutting-edge technological firms. He commented, “Their investment here not only signifies RAKEZ’s vital role as an emerging hub for technology and sustainable energy but also aligns perfectly with our commitment to nurturing industrial growth and technological innovation across the region.”
