Apple is expected to release an updated version of its MacBook Air in April, with the latest features

According to display analyst Ross Young, Apple is reportedly planning to release a new 15-inch MacBook Air in April 2023. This new laptop will likely be powered by the M2 chip and may support Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3. The M2 chip is expected to offer an 18% faster CPU, a 35% faster GPU, and a 40% faster Neural Engine compared to the M1 chip.

While the 15-inch model is expected to have a standard LCD display, a new 13-inch MacBook Air with an OLED display is rumoured to be released in 2024. Like the 13-inch model, the 15-inch MacBook Air will be available with the M2 chip. It is also expected to offer longer battery life, with the possibility of reaching up to 20 hours per charge.

The 13-inch MacBook Air with the M2 chip is limited to Wi-Fi 6, but the 15-inch model is likely to get Wi-Fi 6E. This will provide faster speeds and improved reliability in areas with a lot of wireless traffic.

Apple recently updated the Mac mini with the M2 chip and Wi-Fi 6E and added Bluetooth 5.3 support to several of its most recent devices. It is expected that the 15-inch MacBook Air will also get Bluetooth 5.3 support. Overall, the new 15-inch MacBook Air with the M2 chip is expected to offer significant improvements in performance, battery life, and connectivity.
