Apple iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max Launch

Gold iPhone 17 Pro Max

Apple revealed redesigned iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max models at its September event. Moreover, the phones use a vapor chamber laser-welded into a lightweight, thermally conductive aluminium unibody. Consequently, the redesigned internal layout creates extra room for a larger battery.

Additionally, both Pro models run on the new A19 Pro chip, which pairs a 6-core CPU with a 6-core GPU and a 16-core Neural Engine. In addition, an N1 chip provides Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, and Thread connectivity for faster wireless performance.

Display and battery

The Pro variants measure 6.3 inches and 6.9 inches respectively, and both feature Super Retina XDR displays. Furthermore, the screens support ProMotion up to 120 Hz and deliver up to 3,000 nits peak outdoor brightness. In addition, Ceramic Shield protects both front and back, offering improved resistance to cracks. The updated internal architecture and raised rear plateau allow larger batteries, and both phones can reach roughly 50% charge in about 20 minutes with a high-wattage USB-C adapter.

Cameras, video, storage, and pricing

Camera hardware now centers on three 48MP Fusion sensors: Main, Ultra Wide, and a new Telephoto module. Moreover, the system effectively replaces multiple fixed lenses by offering the equivalent of eight optical configurations. In addition, a high-resolution 18MP Centre Stage front camera supports landscape framing without rotating the device.
