Apple AirPods Pro 3 Debut with Fitness Upgrades
Apple introduced the AirPods Pro 3, its latest wireless earbuds with a heart rate sensor. These earbuds feature a new design for improved fit and enhanced stability during activities like running, yoga, and HIIT. They also include IP57 dust and water resistance, making them more reliable in active and outdoor conditions.
The earbuds come with foam-infused ear tips available in five sizes, including a new XXS option, to ensure comfort and better sound isolation. Internal architecture has been re-engineered to make the earbuds smaller while increasing stability.
Advanced Health and Fitness Tracking
The AirPods Pro 3 include a custom photoplethysmography (PPG) sensor, which uses invisible infrared light to measure blood flow and monitor heart rate. This enables users to track over 50 workout types through the Fitness app on iPhone. Additionally, Apple Intelligence powers features like Workout Buddy, which provides personalized workout recommendations based on fitness history. These earbuds can also deliver up to 67% more battery life in Transparency Mode compared to the previous generation.
Smart Features and Pricing
The earbuds offer the “world’s best in-ear Active Noise Cancellation (ANC),” capable of blocking twice as much noise as their predecessors. They also introduce Live Translation, allowing seamless conversations across languages such as English, French, German, Portuguese, and Spanish, with more languages coming soon. AirPods Pro 3 will be available starting September 19 at $249 (approximately AED 915 / Rs 22,000).
