HOW WE FEEL
To help people better understand their emotions and discover coping mechanisms, scientists, designers, engineers, and therapists developed the free app How We Feel. How We Feel is an app that was developed in collaboration with Yale University’s Center for Emotional Intelligence and based on Dr. Marc Brackett’s research. It helps users find the appropriate word to describe their feelings while also using HealthKit to track their sleep, exercise, and health trends to identify patterns over time.
Users of How We Feel begin by checking in with their feelings before journaling or tagging the things they think are influencing their emotional state. Users are then allowed to investigate methods to feel the way they want to feel through helpful movies and exercises since emotions are neither good nor evil.
LOCKET WIDGET FROM LOCKET LABS, INC.
A Locket widget displays real-time images from your closest pals on your home screen. Every time your phone is unlocked, you and your closest pals will see fresh photos from one another. It’s a small window into everyone’s daily activities.
A locket is a widget that resides on your home screen and is created by Matt Moss, a previous recipient of the student scholarship at the Apple Worldwide Developer Conference. They can send you images after you connect with up to five of your pals. However, they don’t arrive through iMessage or Snapchat; instead, they merely show up on your screen as a slight surprise. (Or, like the photo contained in a locket.)
