Anthropic Secures Multiyear CoreWeave Deal for AI Infrastructure

AI data center servers

Anthropic has entered a multiyear agreement with CoreWeave to lease data center computing capacity. As a result, the company aims to secure additional infrastructure and keep up with rapidly increasing demand. According to the agreement, Anthropic will gain access to advanced Nvidia chip architectures at CoreWeave’s U.S. facilities. However, the financial details of the deal have not been disclosed.

Meanwhile, CoreWeave’s client list continues to grow. In addition to this new agreement, the company already serves major AI players such as Meta Platforms, OpenAI, and Perplexity. Earlier this week, CoreWeave expanded its partnership with Meta through a long-term cloud capacity agreement extending into 2032. Consequently, the company’s total revenue backlog has surged significantly.

Rising Demand for AI Compute

At the same time, Anthropic has accelerated its infrastructure expansion as demand for its Claude models continues to climb. Recently, the company reported a revenue run rate exceeding $30 billion, which marks a sharp increase from approximately $9 billion at the end of 2025. Moreover, its business customer base has grown rapidly, now surpassing 1,000 clients.

In addition, Anthropic has secured other large-scale compute agreements. For instance, it announced a partnership with Google and Broadcom for next-generation TPU capacity expected to come online in 2027. Notably, this arrangement represents its largest compute commitment so far. Furthermore, the company continues to diversify its hardware usage, relying on Google TPUs, Amazon Trainium chips, and Nvidia GPUs across multiple cloud platforms, including Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure.

Strengthening Market Position

As competition intensifies, CoreWeave is expanding its footprint and strengthening its market position. The company, which went public on Nasdaq in March 2025, has aligned closely with Nvidia, which invested $2 billion earlier in 2026. Consequently, CoreWeave aims to scale its AI computing capacity beyond five gigawatts by 2030.

For Anthropic, this deal represents a strategic move to diversify its infrastructure sources. By securing compute capacity from multiple providers, the company reduces reliance on any single partner. Therefore, it positions itself more competitively in an industry where access to computing power increasingly defines success.
