Ajman Launches UAE’s First Agentic AI Government Service
The Government of Ajman has launched the UAE’s first Agentic AI-powered government service, allowing businesses to renew trade licenses through a proactive, headless digital process. As a result, customers can complete renewals with minimal manual intervention.
Represented by the Department of Digital Ajman, the government developed the platform using digital infrastructure that identifies customer needs, prepares the service journey, requests approvals, and coordinates procedures across multiple government entities. Consequently, the system simplifies the overall experience while reducing customer effort.
AI streamlines trade license renewal
The first phase of the initiative focuses on trade license renewal through the Department of Economic Development in Ajman. Customers receive automatic notifications before their licenses expire and can continue the process through the intelligent assistant in the unified AjmanOne government app.
Moreover, the platform integrates with the Ajman Municipality and Planning Department whenever a valid commercial lease is required. If a lease renewal is necessary, the system guides customers through that process before automatically resuming the trade license renewal.
According to the Department of Digital Ajman, the Agentic AI headless services model enables government services to operate across current and future digital channels. Therefore, it delivers a unified customer experience while accelerating service development.
The department also stated that successful Agentic AI services rely on an integrated ecosystem that includes effective governance, high-quality data, secure system integration, continuous monitoring, and human oversight where required. As a result, the platform aims to deliver trusted, customer-centric digital services.
