Adoption of health technologies to unlock $10 billion in ME region, WGS report

Over the next five years, it is anticipated that increased use of digital health technology would produce $10 billion in the Middle East and $230 billion worldwide.

The World Government Summit (WGS) report, prepared in collaboration with McKinsey, suggested a few options for governments to consider in terms of innovation, such as adopting algorithm-based approvals systems, combining urban planning with public health, and creating global digital health bonds. Healthcare, according to Mohamed Yousef AlSharhan, deputy managing director of WGS, will play an important role in building and empowering the next generation of governments. “Proactive research on global transformations and trends will aid in the development of future strategies, the exploration of opportunities and challenges, and the development of effective solutions for the betterment of society,” he said.
