Adobe Firefly AI Assistant Public Beta Launch

Adobe Firefly AI assistant interface

Adobe has begun rolling out the public beta of its Firefly AI Assistant, expanding access beyond earlier private testing. The launch follows its initial unveiling earlier in April, which introduced the assistant as part of a broader product update cycle. Previously developed under the name Project Moonlight, the tool has now advanced into a more mature phase.

As a result, Adobe strengthens its push toward integrated AI workflows within Creative Cloud. The assistant supports over 60 tools, which signals a shift toward unified creative environments. Consequently, users can manage complex projects from a single interface.

Unified Workflow Across Creative Tools

Instead of switching between multiple applications, the Firefly AI Assistant processes natural language prompts to complete tasks. It then selects the appropriate tools and sequences actions automatically. Moreover, the system retains context across sessions, which improves continuity for ongoing projects.

In addition, Adobe has introduced pre-built Creative Skills for common workflows such as editing and asset creation. Users can also customize these workflows, which adds flexibility for different use cases. Meanwhile, outputs remain in native file formats, allowing further refinement within individual applications.

Expanding Ecosystem and Availability

At the same time, Adobe continues to expand Firefly’s integration ecosystem. The platform now supports more than 30 partner AI models, which broadens creative capabilities. Furthermore, Adobe is developing compatibility with external AI platforms, which will extend usage beyond its core environment.

The public beta is available globally to Creative Cloud Pro and Firefly plan users. However, Adobe has not finalized long-term pricing for the assistant. As adoption grows, the platform may evolve its pricing and feature structure.
