AD Gaming, a major player in Abu Dhabi’s growing gaming industry, has announced a partnership with Sawa Group, a prominent game publishing and esports company. The collaboration aims to support the expansion of publishers in the Middle East and North Africa (Mena) region by localising global video games, especially those developed in China, and esports content for Arabic-speaking audiences. With Sawa Group relocating to Abu Dhabi, the partnership will provide a gateway for Chinese gaming and esports companies to expand internationally through the emirate.
By moving to Abu Dhabi, Sawa Group will be in close proximity to the region’s largest community of game developers, offering access to content from the Asian continent and enabling the local industry to experience continued growth in the coming years. Meanwhile, AD Gaming will benefit from Sawa Group’s game development expertise, as well as the company’s established library of games and esports content.
Sultan Al Riyami, Head of Gaming & Esports at AD Gaming, highlighted the significant demand for high-quality gaming content across the Arabic-speaking world and emphasised the substantial opportunities for the industry in Abu Dhabi.
Jing Wang, CEO of Sawa Group, echoed this sentiment, stating that the partnership with AD Gaming will enhance the gaming and esports ecosystem in the UAE, create more opportunities for gamers, and position Abu Dhabi as a premier global destination for gaming and esports.
