Acer has launched seven new Chromebooks, including six Chromebook Plus laptops and one detachable tablet. Designed for students, educators, professionals, and remote workers, these devices combine affordability with impressive performance. They also introduce a range of AI-powered tools aimed at streamlining productivity and everyday use.
These Chromebook Plus models feature faster processors, larger storage capacities, and AI enhancements. In fact, built-in tools help users edit images, summarize content, and generate text with ease. Moreover, Google’s AI features such as “Help me read,” “Magic Eraser,” and “Live Translate” come pre-installed. As a result, users can experience improved communication, simplified tasks, and a smoother workflow.
Each device is designed with visual clarity in mind. Displays support WUXGA 16:10 resolution and reach up to 300 nits of brightness. Some models even include touchscreens and backlit keyboards. Performance remains a strong point as well, with support for up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB NVMe SSDs. Therefore, multitasking or handling heavier tasks becomes much easier.
Advanced Connectivity and Durable Design
Connectivity takes center stage in this lineup. Wi-Fi 7 ensures faster, more stable internet access, while select models also support 4G LTE. Additional features such as HDMI ports, fingerprint readers, and dual USB-C and USB-A connections boost overall functionality. These Chromebooks meet MIL-STD-810H standards, ensuring durability in various environments. Plus, rapid charging capabilities help users stay powered throughout the day.
The Chromebook Plus 514 and 516 series stand out with Intel Core 3 through Core 7 processors. Their high-resolution 14–16” displays, combined with FHD or QHD webcams, make them suitable for both work and video conferencing. With battery life extending up to 17 hours, these models are built to support full workdays without interruptions.
Portability Meets Versatility with Tab 311
For users needing a compact solution, Acer has introduced the Chromebook Tab 311. Powered by a MediaTek Kompanio 520 processor, it supports up to 128GB of storage and 8GB RAM. A microSD slot allows expansion up to 2TB, which adds valuable flexibility. The Tab 311 is both lightweight and rugged, passing military-grade durability tests. It runs for over 10 hours on an 8,000 mAh battery and supports Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, and optional LTE. Dual cameras, 2MP front and 5MP rear, make it ideal for video chats or casual photos.
