Abu Dhabi-based Zero Two, a subsidiary of ADQ focused on digital infrastructure, has invested in Singapore-headquartered Evolution Data Centres. Through this deal, Zero Two will take a co-controlling position alongside Warburg Pincus, one of the company’s early backers. Although financial details were not disclosed, this marks Zero Two’s first investment in Southeast Asia since its launch in 2022.

Supporting Growth of Sustainable Data Centres

Founded in 2021, Evolution has built a strong presence across Southeast Asia, with data centre projects in Thailand, the Philippines, and Vietnam. These facilities are powered by renewable energy through Power Purchase Agreements with leading providers, reflecting the company’s focus on sustainability. With Zero Two’s investment, Evolution will gain long-term growth capital to accelerate the deployment of hyperscale-ready data centres in key regional markets.

Driving Digital Transformation in the Region

This strategic move supports the rapid expansion of digital infrastructure across Southeast Asia. Demand for cloud services and artificial intelligence is growing quickly, making scalable, energy-efficient data centres critical to the region’s future. By partnering with Evolution and Warburg Pincus, Zero Two strengthens its commitment to sustainable growth while contributing to Southeast Asia’s digital transformation.
