Salam and Dell Expand Cloud Edge AI
Etihad Salam Telecom Company, known as Salam, and Dell Technologies have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to expand cloud infrastructure and Edge AI solutions across Saudi Arabia. The companies signed the agreement during LEAP 2026 in Riyadh.
The partnership creates a framework for integrating Dell’s cloud infrastructure and Edge AI technologies into Salam’s service portfolio. As a result, enterprise customers across the Kingdom could gain faster access to advanced computing and digital services.
The agreement also supports Saudi Arabia’s wider digital transformation agenda under Vision 2030. In particular, the partners will target businesses and government organizations seeking scalable infrastructure and real-time intelligence.
Salam and Dell Build Cloud Partnership
The MoU was signed by Eng. Ahmed Al-Anqari, CEO of Salam, and Mohamed Talaat, Dell Technologies’ Vice President for Saudi Arabia, Egypt, North Africa and the Levant.
Under the agreement, the companies will work toward integrating Dell’s cloud infrastructure and Edge AI solutions into Salam’s existing services. The model also aims to give customers greater operational flexibility and more predictable economics.
Salam also plans to offer these technologies through a flexible consumption model. This lets customers access infrastructure and edge capabilities without relying solely on traditional deployment approaches.
The companies expect the collaboration to serve both enterprise and government customers. In addition, the solutions can support organizations that need high-performance computing closer to where data originates.
Edge AI Targets Real-Time Enterprise Needs
Edge AI can process data closer to the point where organizations generate it. As a result, businesses can reduce delays and support applications that require rapid analysis and responses.
Dell’s infrastructure can therefore support workloads that depend on local processing, storage and computing resources. Meanwhile, Salam brings connectivity, implementation capabilities and an established enterprise customer base in Saudi Arabia.
The partnership could support sectors that need real-time data processing and secure digital infrastructure. These include industrial operations, government services and other data-intensive enterprise environments.
The collaboration also fits Salam’s broader Connectivity+ strategy. The company is combining connectivity with cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity and AI-enabled services as it expands beyond traditional telecommunications.

The agreement comes as Salam expands its technology partnerships across Saudi Arabia. During LEAP 2026, the company signed 29 strategic partnerships spanning cloud, data solutions, cybersecurity, enterprise technology and digital infrastructure.
Salam has positioned these partnerships around its transition toward a broader digital transformation role. Moreover, the company is targeting businesses, government organisations and communities across the Kingdom.
For Saudi enterprises, the Dell agreement could provide another route to modern cloud and AI infrastructure. At the same time, it supports the Kingdom’s efforts to build domestic digital capabilities and expand AI adoption.
