SpaceX Falcon 9 launches Starlink satellites

SpaceX has successfully launched 24 new Starlink satellites aboard a Falcon 9 rocket, pushing its satellite internet constellation beyond 10,600 spacecraft in orbit. The mission further strengthens Starlink’s position as the world’s largest satellite network while expanding global broadband coverage.

The launch took place from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California on June 11 as part of the Starlink Group 17-44 mission. Moreover, the deployment adds to SpaceX’s rapid launch cadence as the company continues expanding its low-Earth-orbit infrastructure.

Starlink Network Continues Rapid Expansion

The Falcon 9 rocket successfully delivered all 24 satellites into orbit roughly an hour after liftoff. As a result, the Starlink constellation now exceeds 10,600 satellites, providing broader internet coverage across multiple regions worldwide.

In addition, the growing network supports residential, enterprise, aviation, maritime, and mobile connectivity services. Consequently, SpaceX continues to strengthen Starlink’s role in the global satellite communications market.

The latest deployment reflects the company’s long-term strategy of building a high-capacity broadband network in low-Earth orbit. Therefore, SpaceX remains focused on increasing coverage, capacity, and service reliability.

Falcon 9 Nears Another Reusability Milestone

A key highlight of the mission was Falcon 9 booster B1071, which completed its 34th flight. Meanwhile, the booster landed successfully on the droneship “Of Course I Still Love You” in the Pacific Ocean shortly after launch.

The achievement places B1071 just one mission away from matching SpaceX’s Falcon 9 reuse record. Furthermore, reusable rocket technology continues to reduce launch costs and increase operational efficiency across SpaceX missions.
