NVIDIA has rolled out OpenAI’s GPT-5.5 model to more than 10,000 employees through the Codex coding platform. As a result, the company has executed one of the largest internal deployments of a frontier AI model. Moreover, leadership has pushed for rapid adoption across all departments.

The rollout spans engineering, product development, legal, marketing, finance, sales, human resources, operations, and developer programs. Consequently, the deployment integrates AI-assisted workflows across nearly every function within the organization.

Accelerated Productivity and Advanced Infrastructure

Early usage indicates notable productivity improvements across technical workflows. For example, debugging cycles that once took days now conclude within hours. Similarly, complex experimentation that required weeks now completes overnight.

GPT-5.5 runs on Nvidia’s Blackwell architecture and leverages GB200 NVL72 rack-scale systems for inference. Therefore, the infrastructure delivers significant efficiency gains, including lower cost per token and higher throughput. These improvements enable large-scale enterprise deployment of advanced AI models.

Expanding Strategic Alignment and Market Context

The rollout builds on a broader partnership between Nvidia and OpenAI focused on next-generation AI infrastructure. In addition, both companies continue to invest heavily in large-scale compute capacity to support future models.
