A new accelerator program has been launched to support Emirati game developers and strengthen Dubai’s growing gaming ecosystem. Through a strategic partnership with the cultural authority, the initiative focuses on nurturing local talent while accelerating innovation in interactive entertainment. Moreover, it targets a rapidly expanding global market that was forecast to reach $188.8 billion in revenue in 2025, highlighting strong commercial potential.
From ideas to commercially viable games
Through structured guidance, the program helps developers transform creative concepts into market-ready products. As a result, it contributes to broader efforts to build a resilient and diversified economy. In addition, the initiative aligns with national ambitions to advance the film and gaming sectors under a unified creative strategy. The program will also conclude with a Demo Day at the Dubai Esports and Games Festival in May 2026. There, finalist teams will meet industry experts and pitch to gaming leaders and investors for potential grant support. Meanwhile, the top Dubai-based team will receive post-program backing and global scaling assistance to expand beyond the UAE.
Accelerator begins March 2026
The accelerator will start in March 2026 and will welcome individual Emirati developers as well as teams with at least one Emirati founder. Consequently, it caters to both early-stage creators and studios aiming to scale existing projects. The program delivers support across four pillars, including technical upskilling through masterclasses, business readiness workshops, and strategic mentorship. Additionally, participants will gain access to ecosystem resources that strengthen integration within the wider startup community.
