Anthropic Eyes New Funding Round at $350 Billion Valuation

Anthropic valuation funding plans

Anthropic is planning a multi-billion-dollar fundraising round that could value the company at about $350 billion, according to people familiar with the matter. As a result, the figure would represent nearly double its valuation from roughly four months ago.

At the same time, the company aims to raise around $10 billion in the round. Moreover, Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund GIC and Coatue Management are expected to lead the financing. The deal could close within weeks; however, the size and terms may still change.

Strong demand lifts AI valuations

The fundraising plans come as global spending on artificial intelligence continues to rise. Consequently, growing enterprise adoption has pushed valuations of leading AI startups to record levels. At the same time, concerns about a potential AI bubble persist.

Previously, the company raised $13 billion in a Series F round that valued it at $183 billion. Meanwhile, reports have indicated discussions around additional private funding that could exceed a $300 billion valuation. The company has declined to comment on the latest fundraising plans.

Growth outlook and long-term plans

Founded in 2021 by former OpenAI staff, the company’s Claude models have built a strong reputation among developers, particularly for coding tasks. In addition, rising enterprise adoption has supported rapid revenue growth.

Earlier reports also noted preparations for a possible initial public offering as early as 2026. However, a spokesperson previously said that no decision had been made on whether or when the company would go public.
