Google Partners With Replit to Accelerate AI Coding Innovation

Google partners with Replit team

Google Cloud announced a multi-year partnership with Replit, and the move aims to boost its position in the rapidly expanding AI-coding space. The agreement gives Google fresh momentum against competitors offering similar tools. Additionally, Replit will expand its use of cloud services, integrate more Google models into its platform and support new enterprise coding applications. Google will also remain Replit’s primary cloud provider, which further deepens the relationship.

“The goal for us, and Google, is to make enterprise vibe-coding a thing,” Replit founder and CEO Amjad Masad said. “We want to show the world that these tools are actually going to transform businesses and how people work. Instead of people working in silos, designers only doing design, product managers only write … now anyone in the company can be entrepreneurial.”

Replit, founded nearly a decade ago, continues to emerge as a leader in the fast-growing vibe-coding movement. In September, the company closed a $250 million funding round that nearly tripled its valuation to $3 billion. Moreover, it grew annualized revenue from $2.8 million to $150 million within a year.

Rapid Growth Highlights Market Opportunity

New data from Ramp shows Replit had the fastest new customer growth among software vendors on its platform. Google, meanwhile, is attracting customers and increasing spending faster than any other vendor in the dataset. When viewed together, these trends illustrate why both companies see significant opportunity in their partnership.

Vibe-coding gained traction earlier this year as AI models became far better at generating production-ready code from natural language prompts. As a result, people with minimal technical experience can now create functioning code and even full applications. Competitors are also seeing momentum. Anthropic announced that Claude Code reached $1 billion in run-rate revenue, and Cursor recently secured funding that valued it at $29.3 billion while reporting $1 billion in annualized revenue.

AI Expansion Extends Beyond Traditional Engineers

Replit, which promotes itself as accessible for non-developers, helps broaden the reach of enterprise AI tools. Consequently, it could drive increased cloud adoption among companies seeking to empower more teams with coding capabilities. Google is also benefiting from strong interest in its top-scoring model, Gemini 3. Shares of Alphabet have risen more than 12% since its launch, showing how investor confidence continues to build.
