Adobe has joined forces with YouTube to simplify short-form video editing through a new “Create for YouTube Shorts” workspace in Adobe Premiere. Accessible via the “Edit in Adobe Premiere” icon within YouTube Shorts, this feature allows creators to move clips between both platforms effortlessly.
iPhone users will benefit first, as the Premiere mobile app currently runs only on iOS. The integration offers mobile multi-track editing, studio-quality audio tools, and Firefly-powered AI enhancements to make the editing process faster and more creative.
One-Tap Publishing and Custom Templates
With the upcoming rollout, creators will soon be able to publish completed Shorts directly from Premiere mobile in a single tap. The workspace includes pre-designed templates, transitions, and title presets tailored for YouTube Shorts. Additionally, creators can design and share their own templates, helping to inspire new content trends. The built-in effects library ensures every video aligns with the fast-paced style of short-form content, while advanced editing tools provide more control over timing, pacing, and sound.
Firefly AI Expands Creative Capabilities
At Adobe MAX 2025, the company also expanded its Firefly AI suite into a comprehensive creative studio for video, audio, and image generation. The update introduces tools like Generate Soundtrack, Generate Speech, and a new timeline-based AI video editor. Firefly Image Model 5 delivers more realistic visuals, while new partnerships with ElevenLabs and Topaz Labs enhance AI integration.
Moreover, Adobe unveiled Custom Models for personalized AI training, upgraded Firefly Boards, and previewed Project Moonlight—a conversational creative assistant designed to streamline content creation across all media formats.
