Salesforce launched Agentforce for the Public Sector to augment government workforces with AI-driven digital labor. Accordingly, agencies can deploy intelligent agents to handle repetitive and complex tasks. Moreover, the platform aims to boost responsiveness and reduce risk for public servants. Therefore, frontline staff can focus more on mission-critical work.
Capabilities and public-sector use cases
Agentforce enables agencies to build and deploy custom and out-of-the-box agents within weeks. For example, agents can answer routine citizen queries and process license renewals. Additionally, prebuilt actions include complaint grouping, regulatory checks, and resume matching. Consequently, these actions reduce administrative burdens and speed decision-making. Furthermore, Recruitment Management and Complaint Management actions streamline hiring and case handling. New actions coming in October include Recommend Job Position and Apply for Benefits.
Technology, trust, partners, availability
The Atlas Reasoning Engine powers Agentforce with ensemble RAG and predictive insights. In addition, Data Cloud connects structured and unstructured sources for accurate decisions. Moreover, the Trust Layer offers dynamic grounding, zero data retention, and toxicity detection for responsible AI use. Agent Builder lets non-technical teams tailor agents with plain language and templates. Also, the platform integrates with Flows, Apex, MuleSoft APIs, and existing business logic.
Agentforce for Public Sector runs on AWS and is available via AWS Marketplace. Furthermore, government customers can accelerate deployments through partners like IBM Consulting. Availability details: core modules are available now, while several actions roll out in October 2025.
