Ferrari has officially introduced the Amalfi, a sleek new front-mid-engine V8 2+ coupé designed to succeed the Ferrari Roma. The new model refines the classic Ferrari silhouette while enhancing both performance and technology.
Powering the Amalfi is an evolved twin-turbo V8 derived from the award-winning F154 family. Thanks to updated turbo calibration, it delivers 640 cv. Moreover, it pairs with an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission for seamless, fast gear changes. As a result, the Amalfi can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds, and from 0 to 200 km/h in just 9 seconds. Its power-to-weight ratio stands at an impressive 2.29 kg/hp.
Minimalist Design Meets Modern Tech
The Ferrari Styling Centre, led by Flavio Manzoni, sculpted the Amalfi with an emphasis on fluidity and modern elegance. The body features a minimalist approach, marked by sculpted volumes, sharp lines, and clean surfaces. Notably, a large air intake and long bonnet dominate the front. Meanwhile, forged wheels and carbon fibre elements highlight its performance character.
At the rear, the integrated active spoiler boosts high-speed stability. Hidden taillights and a clean diffuser further enhance the sporty appearance. Additionally, the launch color, Verde Costiera, reflects the hues of the Amalfi coast, emphasizing the car’s sculpted profile.
Inside, Ferrari blends form and function. A dual-cockpit layout houses a new steering wheel with physical buttons and the return of the iconic start button. The ergonomic central display and advanced controls allow intuitive driving. Furthermore, rear seats increase practicality, making short trips or weekend drives with children more feasible.
Advanced Connectivity and Comfort
Beyond design and performance, the Amalfi boasts cutting-edge technology. The infotainment system supports full connectivity, with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto included as standard. Wireless smartphone charging enhances convenience on the go. Additionally, a 10.25” central display and digital instrument cluster offer a modern, intuitive interface.
Among optional features is the front lifter system, which allows the car to raise up to 40 mm at speeds up to 35 km/h. This enables smoother navigation over urban bumps. For music lovers, the optional Burmester premium audio system provides immersive sound quality, rounding out the driving experience.
Overall, the Ferrari Amalfi blends performance, practicality, and design into a bold new chapter for Ferrari’s 2+ coupé berlinettas. It is a fitting tribute to its predecessor, while confidently pushing the brand forward.
