DGHR, Dubai AI Campus Unite to Advance AI Workforce

DGHR and Dubai AI Campus officials signing AI workforce partnership agreement.

The Dubai Government Human Resources Department (DGHR) has partnered with Dubai AI Campus, a DIFC-led initiative and the region’s largest hub for AI companies, to accelerate the development of AI talent across public and private sectors. This strategic Memorandum of Understanding aims to train over 10,000 professionals by 2030. Consequently, the initiative supports Dubai’s transformation into a global technology leader.

The agreement outlines a shared goal: to empower the workforce with critical AI skills that align with regional and global technological progress. By launching tailored education and training programs, both parties aim to prepare individuals to work with AI across vital sectors. Additionally, the effort helps ensure Dubai’s competitiveness by upskilling talent in line with rapid digital evolution.

HE Abdullah Ali Bin Zayed Al Falasi emphasized the importance of investing in human capital. He noted that the partnership with Dubai AI Campus underlines a firm commitment to digital transformation and economic sustainability.

Empowering the Workforce with Real-World AI Skills

As part of the agreement, DGHR and Dubai AI Campus will roll out practical and hands-on training programs. These include executive-level courses, mid-level management training, mentorship, and career development initiatives. Importantly, the training will be tailored to real-world applications to meet labor market needs.

One key initiative, the ‘AI for Civil Service’ program, focuses on equipping government employees with generative AI skills to improve public services. Participants are expected to propose innovative solutions, which will be evaluated by a committee from DIFC, Udacity, and other industry experts. In addition to training, the program offers opportunities for mentorship and collaborative knowledge-sharing.

Furthermore, the partnership will include seminars, research dissemination, and support for AI-related events in Dubai. These efforts are designed to enhance institutional performance and foster a future-ready work environment.

According to Kazim, this partnership will support long-term economic growth by cultivating a sustainable knowledge economy.

The agreement reflects Dubai’s strategic goals, as outlined in the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33), which seeks to integrate advanced technologies across industries. Moreover, it showcases the city’s dedication to positioning itself as a global hub for digital transformation.

Overall, this collaboration marks a significant step in building a skilled workforce equipped to drive AI innovation. It also aligns with DGHR’s mission to create a culture of creativity, foster leadership, and prepare future generations to shape Dubai’s evolving digital landscape.
