HUMAIN, the AI subsidiary of Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, announced a major partnership with NVIDIA, the global leader in AI computing infrastructure. Together, they plan to establish Saudi Arabia as a worldwide AI leader by leveraging NVIDIA’s platforms and expertise. This collaboration aims to boost AI, GPU cloud computing, and digital transformation, fostering innovation and growth across the globe. HUMAIN’s goal is clear: to position Saudi Arabia as an international AI powerhouse by combining advanced infrastructure, frontier AI models, immersive digital platforms, and human capital development.
Building AI Factories and Advancing Physical AI
HUMAIN plans to invest heavily in AI factories with a projected capacity of up to 500 megawatts, powered by hundreds of thousands of NVIDIA’s advanced GPUs over five years. The initial phase includes deploying an 18,000-GPU NVIDIA Grace Blackwell AI supercomputer with InfiniBand networking. These hyperscale AI data centers will offer secure infrastructure to train and deploy sovereign AI models at scale, accelerating innovation across industries both locally and globally.
Moreover, HUMAIN will implement NVIDIA Omniverse™, a platform designed to drive the era of physical AI and robotics. Through simulation and optimization, this technology enables industries such as manufacturing, logistics, and energy to create integrated digital twins. Consequently, this improves efficiency, safety, and sustainability, while advancing Saudi Arabia’s transition to Industry 4.0.
Empowering Saudi Arabia’s AI Ecosystem
To support this AI revolution, HUMAIN and NVIDIA will launch large-scale upskilling and training programs. These initiatives will provide thousands of Saudi citizens and developers with hands-on experience in AI, simulation, robotics, and digital twin technologies. This workforce development is vital for building a strong national AI ecosystem, aligned with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 goals of economic diversification and digital leadership.
Jensen Huang, NVIDIA’s CEO, stated that AI is essential infrastructure, just like electricity and the internet. Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Communications and Information Technology emphasized this partnership as a turning point for building AI factories of the future. Together, HUMAIN and NVIDIA aim to create a future powered by intelligent technology and empowered people, making Saudi Arabia a global leader in AI innovation.
