Global Tech and Government Leaders to Convene at World Government Summit 2025 in Dubai
Dubai is set to host the highly anticipated World Government Summit (WGS) 2025 from February 11 to 13, bringing together global leaders, policymakers, and innovators to discuss the future of governance, technology, and economic development. Among the high-profile speakers are Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai, Alibaba Group Chairman Joseph Tsai, Roblox CEO David Baszucki, and Oracle founder Larry Ellison.
Mohammad Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and Chairman of the World Government Summit Organisation, announced that this year’s summit will welcome over 30 heads of state, 140 government delegations, 80 international organizations, and more than 6,000 participants.
Tech at the Forefront
A key focus of WGS 2025 will be artificial intelligence and technological innovation. With tech leaders from both Eastern and Western markets in attendance, discussions will provide insight into the evolving AI landscape. Managing Director of WGS, Mohammed Al Sharhan, emphasized the significance of Larry Ellison’s participation, noting that this will be his first public address in over 15 years.
Global Leadership & Participation
In addition to business leaders, several heads of state, including Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto, Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, and Kuwaiti Prime Minister Ahmad Al-Abdullah Al-Sabah, will take part in discussions on economic progress and governance strategies. Bangladesh’s Chief Advisor to the Government will also be attending, marking an important moment in the country’s political transition.
Strategic Reports & Awards
The summit will launch 30 strategic reports in collaboration with leading think tanks, addressing global challenges and fostering international cooperation. Additionally, several prestigious awards will be presented, including the Best Minister in the World Award, Global Government Excellence Award, and the Best Teacher in the World Award.
Another highlight will be the Global Ministers Survey, which invites ministers worldwide to share insights on pressing global issues. The TIME100 annual gathering of the most influential people in AI will also be held at the event.
Under the theme “Shaping Future Governments,” WGS 2025 aims to inspire innovation, drive collaboration, and establish frameworks for a resilient and technology-driven future.
